Happy New Year
I lets hope it’s a good one
I for one am really looking forward to the new year. This year that is. I do find that it is time to take stock of life and put any changes that are needed into place. Life is a continual flux, but it is good to have these set points for change or tightening of strategies.
Ho Hum
The CRDC needs a full re-write again, and I’m forming the opinion that it is likely to be out second or third feature. I’ve had some very good feedback, if no totally positive. We shall do the re-write, but I’m going to focus on the more commercial film “No Balls’. This can be shot on a smaller budget and is a more mainstream comedy.
Gutted?
Nope. Not really, the writing has been on the wall for a while, and I totally trust the script editor that has gone over this. He is simply brilliant. I will make it, I’ll have too. I’ll die if I don’t. But it’s about being realistic. I’m unlikely to get the money to finance it right now, so I have to work in the right direction. If we are going to make this into a real career then these sacrifices/sensible decisions need to be made.
What of the New Year C?
Well, I’m on the road to being a slim person again. I lost 16lb in the last 10 weeks of 08 and did put 4lb back on over crimbo, sticking to it though will get me to where I want to be. Another 2-3 Stone lighter. We will be making short films this year. We are shooting “chop” in January, I’ll be edditing ‘Faries tale’ With Tom, and I plan to do a short peice of my own animation called “facelessbook’ in Flash later in the year. I’ll be doing a few short courses in Flash animation, advanced Editing and Documentary filming jouring 08. I’m also hoping to make a short doco on the closure of small post offices. We also hope to join a darts legue this year. I’m getting bonkers into darts now. Barrie has an interesting film idea in this direction too. I ibeleive he will be taking a script writing course. I’m very excited about this.
You’ve said this before!
About getting thin? Yes I have. Many times. But I seam to be more on track then ever before. A manageable track. So check me out.
