The Big Day Draws Closer
Thursday, August 13th, 2009And There is Still Much to do
I’m currently printing off DVD’s, not burning, simply printing the art work onto them. I have two hundred to do each one takes approximately 4 minutes, that’s if the tray does not jam. I managed to do fifty last night, that kept me up until two in the morning, and since half seven I’ve done another twenty five. Each one will then take another 20 minutes to burn the film onto. Then each one has to be packed into a sleeve and then into the big box for Saturday.
Posters
The posters arrived Yesterday, followed by the blank media, followed by the artwork for the blank media. It’s actually alright doing these boring jobs it stops me bricking it, wondering what people will think of the film. The worst thing was the two hours spent getting my onld DVD printer to work and lining it all up, I’m now used to its old foybles and know that I have to sit hear and help each DVD in an out of it, but the final look is very professional I must say. That though is thanks to the art work from urbancurve.com. It does feel a bit like a feature film launch though, rather then a low budget short film.
The Experience
As happy as I am with everything I cant help reflecting on how much better ext time will be, I’ve learned so much each step of the way, and for that I do realise that all these people were right telling me to get my show real together, which is now one third complete. I don’t know if I mentioned that I ended up at the production meeting for the feature I’m working on in September which I’m very, very happy about. As boring as it is in parts, I’ve learned another huge chunk of the ‘Big’ Picture. It’s all good/
Future?
I can’t see us not making films!
