Blogidy, blog, blog
Tuesday, September 21st, 2010Apologies
I really have been to mentally tied up to pay any attention to my blog at all of late. But that’s a good thing I promise. We are very close to getting No Balls it’s balls. Hopefully sometime soon on the official ChalkStar Films site we will have a couple of really rather major announcements to make.
One thing that I can talk about
Is the re-write of the script, that took place a couple of weeks ago. We had the help of one of my mentors and script guru, whilst Si bravely used up his holiday, sacrificing a family Crimbo. Of which I am eternally greatfull for and proud. Actually it went really well, the relationship that Si and I have developed over the past years really flourished under the tutorship and guidance of Mike. It’s left us with a script that really works. It is now a fully operational and professional script. This one is getting the pro’s praise, and we almost cant believe it. We can, only because we were there!
Timely
The completion of the script has nicely settled time wise with meeting a very exciting new producer, who we are now in late stage talks with. I think we all agree if the match is made, it is a close to perfect as we could ever have imagined we would get. Somebody that could be as in love with the project as we are, but with the commercial sense and braveness to make it not only a brilliant film, but a commercially acceptable and successful one.
Sunny Days
You know I love ‘em, things are going right and the sun on your back, cloths on the line and time on your side, all make things feel just a little bit special over here at Baby Chalk Towers. When we have made our film, I think I will be able to go on record as one of the happiest and luckiest people on this planet.
It’s own stresses
It’s not without the above though, you get this close to doing what you have always dreamed of doing and it makes for a few wobbly moments. But without those moments, would it be worth while?
Laters,
Chalkster
