Thoughts for the day

It’s been a long while

And a busy one, though more stressful now then anything I’ve ever had to work on before in my life.  I very much doubt that my ulcer is going to calm down any time in the near future.  It’s a very long process and often wrong decisions, bad timing and lack of proper knowledge can be damaging.  I’m still as confident as ever about how good the film will be, it’s just more stressfull and taking so much longer then I could ever have expected.

So whats the story?

Lots of interest in casting, lots of interest in the project over all just no urgency from anybody.  People just take an intolerably long time to do anything. But the only person blamable for this I suppose is me.  There is only one person that can drive this project further forward it would seam.

Next?

Just waiting for a couple of phone calls that could very well be game changers.  And it’s the waiting that is killing me.

I would but it’s somebody else’s idea

So, I’ve a lodger hording dirty dishes in their room and taking my unwashed stuff out of the washing machine rather then setting it running.  That’s topped off by filling the room with a bad atmosphere and some of the very worst singing and humming that you may ever have the misfortune to hear.  Then we have a lodger who invites ladies over in the middle of the night, but does not think to answer the door to them, so instead they ring the doorbell and wake me up.  This puts me in a bad mood, I don’t get back to sleep and my fine plans of painting some of the walls in the house seam to fade into a distant nice thought.  I’ve made a lot of good friends from having lodgers and they have definitely helped me get through the worst of times recently, however you have to give up so much when you share your house. More recently it seams that those people dont think of it as my house, and because of that less respect all around.  Oh, it’s not the worst set I’ve had, well perhaps one of them is, I’ve had some funny ones though, and yes it would make a good book, but that is not my idea and not my story to tell.

 Filmy stuff

Feels a bit like kicking my heals at the moment.  Next year is going to be one hell of a ride, I just wish we were saddled up now. Its nice to know that we have so many people looking after us in the background.  Oxford seams to be very excited.  What about you?

It’s been a long while

Since I’ve been kept awake by “household noises”, must remember to throw the mattress away.  Seriousness though I really don’t mind what people do in their rooms as a rule, as long as it stays in their rooms.  And that also means the noise, I remember when I used to lodge in other people houses, I used to at least try and be as quiet as possible, and that also meant not turning the TV up to cover up what was going on.  It was fun, actually but born out of respect for those around me.  At the moment I feel their is a lack of respect all around, not just for me (who’s house it is), but for all the others in the house too.  I personally do not appreciate having to sit downstairs at 1am because my bedroom is filled with the sounds of others “Pleasure”.  Its nauseating, and I fight not to picture what was causing the noises.

Soon

I spend a lot of my spare time fantasizing about having my house back, a refit.  Strip the entire house out.  Make it new and mine again.  New sofa’s, beds, televisions and a whole new kitchen and American diner.   I can picture it all in my head and I cant wait.  Waking up and not dreading the atmosphere created by a badly chosen lodger, not having to use another mug because my favorite is going moldy in someone else’s room. Having spare rooms for my friends to stay in rather then having to make up the sofa bed each time.  Oh and cinema seats and a new projector.  Hopefully it will happen soonest.  I for one cannot wait.
